Superintendent’s Report

Superintendent of Schools Antonio G. Limón announced that overnight trips as follows: San Benito High School Lady Hounds Soccer Tournament Corpus Christi Jan. 15-Jan. 17, 2009; San Benito High School Decathlon Academic Competition San Antonio, Tx. Jan. 30-Feb. 1; and San Benito High School Varsity Softball Team, Varsity Softball Tournament, March 5-7, 2009.


Trustees also reviewed disbursements and disbursements by organization.

Public Comment

Edward Niño addressed trustees on concerns on insurance-related issues.

School Construction Report

Lisandro Ramon and David Garcia were present to provide trustees with a brief report on construction projects.

In other matters trustees approved...

  • Waiving the 60-day notice for the creation of a reinvestment zone, as requested by the City of San Benito;
  • 2008-09 budget amendments;
  • Budget transfers; and
  • Board minutes.


    The following items were listed under Executive Session: a status report on pending litigations; and heard Level IV Grievances on three employees.
