What is my e-mail address, password, and username?  
    If you have been connected to the internet, you can start using your e-mail. Each user is registered as follows:

    Username: firstintitial-lastname

    (unless there is more than one user with the same first initial - last name, then a different unique ID will be given.
    ie: ctaneja,
    mjohnston,
    pcruz (all lowercase letters)

    Password: same as your username

    We recommend that you change your password as soon as possible. Go under the preferences once you're logged in on webmail.

    For internet mail your e-mail address is as follows:

      username@sanbenito.k12.tx.us or username@sbcisd.net

    Please be sure to sign the Acceptable User Policy if you have not already done so.

     

What are the requirements to have the internet in my class or office?

    Are you an employee of San Benito CISD?
    Do you have any model of PC-Dell or iMac series ?
    Does your computer have a minimum 128 MB of RAM?
    Does your computer have an ethernet card?
    Are you connected to Mainframe/Time clock?
    Or, do you have a data connection in your classroom or office?
    Have you signed an Acceptable User Policy Form?

    If answers to all the above questions are "yes" please fill out an on-line Technology Repair Request Form, and we will connect you as soon as possible.

h ow can I check my e-mail from any other computer?

    As long as you have internet access you can check your e-mail. From the San Benito home page click on "Check Your E-mail" or go under Help Desk and click on "Email". Enter your Username in the User ID field: just the username (ex: agarcia). Enter password in second field: "Password". Click on Log On Button. Follow the menu or use "Help" once you're logged on for further instructions.

how can I get my computer upgraded?

    Submit a Technology Repair Request Form online. The campus technician will determine if the computer needs to be upgraded.

how can I get e-mail?

    Go to our homepage http://www.sbcisd.net and click on "check email".

how can I get e-mail if I don't have a computer in my class room?

    Use web-based e-mail from any computer. (see webmail)

how can I get Internet at home?

    The district has no provision for distribution of internet services outside the district unless you have a laptop computer provided and configured by San Benito CISD, use dial-in service.
