Directive and Expectation Memo

RE: Directives & Expectations
Please be reminded of the following work - related administrative procedures:
WORK HOURS:
7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
One Hour is allotted for lunch
For hourly employees, the Superintendent reserves the right to approve all requests for overtime. Only overtime requests that are submitted in advance will be considered.
LUNCH HOUR:
One hour is allotted for lunch
Please submit to my office a schedule of the lunch break for your Department Staff
ATTIRE:
Professional attire is required at all times.
Tennis shoes, athletic shoes, flip-flops shoes, etc., are allowed only with a medical doctor's note requiring such.
Mini skirts, shorts, blue jeans, warm-ups and leggings are not appropriate work attire.
School colors in support of the Greyhounds are appropriate for Fridays during football season.
OTHER:
Please notify your supervisor when arriving late or leaving early due to emergency.
District-approved fundraising for non-profit organization, charity, or School organization is allowed. Other district-approved vendors (i.e., for cakes, fruit or refreshments for meeting) are permitted.
Selling items for personal gain is not permitted during the workday-including during the lunch hour. (If further clarification is needed, please see your supervisor.)
Please keep your area clean and organized. Do not clutter the hallways or work areas with boxes, plastic containers, etc. beyond a short period of time.
Each staff member is responsible for ensuring that the department office area is kept free of "clutter" and that it looks organized and professional at all times.
"Office Gossip" is inappropriate. Please remind persons involved in such activity that is inappropriate; if no resolution is reached, please call it to the attention of your supervisor.
The lounge is the designated are for breaks. Consumption of food during a break should be confined to the lounge away from office/work areas. Occasional group celebrations are permitted, but group breakfast breaks in a department should be avoided.
Please speak to your staff about behavior at district meetings. Courtesy and respect should be shown to the speaker that is presenting.
